A demonstration was held in Kemise city condemning the killing of Mr. Girma Yeshi Tila by the Oromo ethnic administration.
A peaceful demonstration was held in Kemise city administration in the presence of Dawa Chefa woreda and other parts of the society and the presence of the Amhara regional development party office.
Enough of conflict and war chanted the protesters. There is no struggle that can be stopped by killing a leader. There is no country that will change rather than blood that will be shed by fighting each other. Stop killing our precious leaders of the region. Respect the rule of law. These and similar slogans were raised.
As the general administrator of the Oromo National Administration Mr. Ahmed Ali spoke at the demonstration, he was a leader who has been working day and night for the people of our zone and region without being tired, especially for the Oromo North Zone and North Shewa Zone. He was a leader who believed in the unity of the people, brotherhood and nationalism he stood for.
We should fight against extremist thinking and destructive forces that are trying to kill leaders and control power by force in Amhara region.
Our people should understand the actions of the extremists, protect our peace and unity, understand the activities of any extremists, stand with the government and the defense force and do your part to ensure a secure peace.
