Today the Kana Zegelila holiday was celebrated in a bright religious manner and on that day,
Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo Church followers celebrated the Kana Zegelila holiday in different spiritual ceremonies.

Jesus Christ , who descended from Jordan to Corinth and continued his baptism in prayer, attended the true teaching of life, and went to Keranius in a wedding hall and began with miracles. While he was with his mother and the disciples, when he saw the wedding where there was no wine, his mother St. Mary said “they have run out of wine” he changed the water to wine and humbly fulfilled his mother’s prayer.
Kana Zegelila has two meanings like the teaching of Orthodox Tewahdo Church. The first is a village called Cana in the province of Galilee. The second is the name of the first miracle that Jesus Christ revealed.

Kana Zeglila is the one where Jesus Christ found in Dokimas house and revealed the miracle that he turned water into wine and They say it’s the day he blessed the marriage.
Jesus Christ went to river Jordan and was baptised by the hand of his disciple saint John. After his baptism he went to the monastery of Corinth and spent 40 days and 40 nights in fasting and prayer. He left the monastery of Corinthians and went to a place called Cana in the region of Galilee and found his mother St. Mary and his disciples attending a wedding. The empty cans were filled with water, and the water was turned into wine.
The Kana Zegelila holiday is a water holiday were water was turned into wine. So the holiday is celebrated in connection with Epiphany holiday, and its about celebrating water.
Thus, the holiday of Kana Zegelila is moving from ignorance to knowledge.  When a human being comes to his creator, he becomes pure and innocent like a child. The life of a human being will be filled with miracles and teachings of God. Let us be encouraged in our spiritual life. And when we become strong, our life that is full of his teachings and mercy will be strong and sweet like wine in heaven.
The other thing we learn from Kana Zegelila is that it is necessary for all Christians to learn from the suffering of others, the Virgin Mary, begging with kindness, fulfilling wishes with kindness from Jesus Christ.
