The oppressive and plundering army of the regime, armed with heavy weaponry, has repeatedly launched attacks in the areas of Kulmesek, Debko, and Gelosot. Notwithstanding their triumph, the regime’s forces have exhibited a degree of ruthlessness, perpetrating acts of violence against innocent civilians, looting public wealth and property, and setting fire to the rest. The collective strength of this alliance will determine the longevity of the regime. The cornerstone of this strength is unity. The capacity of Wollo to act independently is negligible. The incorporation of Gojjam serves to strengthen the union, while Shewa is regarded as unbreakable when included, and the addition of Gondar ensures our unity is akin to that of a lion. Unity, therefore, is the key to victory, as General Asaminew Tsige, asserted: “Be united.” The Amhara call to unity is encapsulated in the phrase “Be united.” The Kora extends its felicitations to all those who celebrate this holiday, hoping that this day is filled with love, unity, and compassion.
