The Ministry of Water and Energy and its Institutions leaders and workers planted trees around Finfine in Bereke Woreda Bura Debebe Kebele. The seedling is part of the 4th round Green Legacy Program.
The Minister of Water and Energy, Dr. Engineer Habtamu Itefa, who delivered a message during the program, said that the Green Legacy Program started by Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed is a work that is being done with a long thought to pass the green legacy program to the next generations. The minister who mentioned that the water, which is the life of the Green Legacy Program, will also give life to it; indicated that it will be given attention from the ministry office and in cooperation with other stakeholders. The seedlings planted by the ministry’s office and by the authorities and workers will be used to prevent the Dire dam, which is the source of drinking water in Addis Ababa city, from flooding.
During the tree planting program, the ministry’s office, the national meteorology institute, the Ethiopian water technology institute and the Ethiopian water technology institute, and the public participated.
