International Peacekeeping Training Institute provides media course training on the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).

African Union Mission in SomaliaMedia leaders and experts from the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, the Federal Police Commission, the Ethiopian Police University and the Addis Ababa Police Commission participated in the 10-day media course focusing on the African Union peacekeeping mission in Somalia.
According to Dean Colonel Tamrat Andarge, Deputy Commander of the International Peacekeeping Training Institute and training academy, the purpose of the training is to enable the Armed Forces, police and civil society to carry out their peacekeeping missions.
Through the media, the media leaders and experts have put their theoretical training on the basics of how to deliver accurate and up-to-date peacekeeping missions to the audience or followers, and put them into practice with scenarios in our country and internationally.African Union Mission in Somalia
Colonel Tamrat pointed out that a media course will be given in each of the following missions related to the realities of other peacekeeping missions.
He said the joint work of the Defense Forces, the police and the civil society will play a significant role in the success of the peacekeeping mission, adding that we must continue to strengthen not only the media sector but other sectors as well.
Dean Colonel Tamrat Andarge, Deputy Commander and Head of the International Peacekeeping Training Institute, conveyed the message that the media professionals should fulfil their professional duties by utilizing the skills and knowledge gained from the training.
