In Gofa zone electoral regions federal parliament representatives and regional council members held a discussion with the electorate community.
The prime minister of the government Mr. Tesfaye Beljige stated that efforts to discuss with the elected people and to give appropriate answers to the questions raised should be continued.
The residents of Gofa zone have expressed that the councils in every level of the country have an irreplaceable role in building the culture of democracy, good governance and accelerating development.
The residents expressed this when the members of the FDRE House of People’s Representatives and the regional council of Gofa zone discussed with the community.
In the discussion that was held in Gofa zone Sawla city, the answers given by government offices at every level in the past one year have been explained in detail for the questions that have been raised from the society for a long time.
Similarly, it was mentioned in the discussion that measures have been taken such as ensuring the rule of law, solving good governance problems, speeding up development works, controlling the cost of living and stabilising market prices.
The participants of the discussion, who appreciated the achievements done so far, said that the next government should focus on and solve are infrastructure, good governance and the cost of living.
In the message that the prime minister of the government, Mr. Tesfaye Beljige, said that it is time for us Ethiopians to strengthen our unity and overcome the challenges we are facing.
The chief minister of the government stated that the people should stand with the government and strengthen the usual support to solve the problems of good governance, peace and security.
The minister has also called for us to work on the Ethiopian unity and determination that we have shown on our renaissance dam in order to overcome the cost of living that we are facing as a country and increase productivity.
Aklewum stated that they will bring the questions raised by the people to the executive body of the government and will follow up the implementation.
